I had earlier said I would dump QtWebKit and use a Cairo/Curl backed WebKit. But after evaluating 3 WebKit flavors, I’m now deciding to stick with QtWebKit. I’ve successfully compiled and run the following:

I’ve been testing, prototyping a WebKit based widget engine. This will totally halt my Ashlar Project.
I’ve been using the QT based port to build the engine. The results are quite good. I could build widgets easily with plain HTML and Javascript. The prototype could even host some Dashboard basic widgets.
I am not quite impressed though with QT’s graphics engine. It’s a lot inferior with Apple’s CoreGraphics. It uses native Win32 Font rendering instead of Freetype. SVG is available but the graphics isn’t eye candy.
I’m now trying to build using CoreGraphics (which was the default anyway). But I would later on test Cairo as the graphics backend. Using CoreGraphics means my engine which is be free and opensource, would have to be shipped with Safari binaries. Nobody would want that.
Would probably release a beta of the engine by the end of the month. In the meantime, what would be a good name? Konfabulator sounds nice but it’s taken already

I’ve ported Jeff Lait’s Powder 1.02 game to the PSP.
The game has an SDL port for the desktop - windows and linux. Making an PSP version wasn’t too difficult. The game can be fully played. The keyboard input is still in the works though. So when prompted to input a word, just press the X or START button to skip.
Rogue like games are interesting as all the maps and levels are dynamic. You could say no two games are the same. Most implementations though use text graphics which turn of modern gamers. Jeff Lait’s game has old school but very cool graphics.

Atlanta has been in desperate need of a point guard to run their talented young team. They’ve been trying to get one since they discovered Joe Johnson is better suited at the 2. Tyrone Lue doesn’t fit the bill. Speedy Claxton has been slowed down by injuries. Acie Law has tons of potential. But as a rookie, he isn’t what they need right now.
The finally get a super star point guard in Mike Bibby. He’s fast, he can shoot, he runs, and distributes the ball well. Just guy they need. With a core of Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Marvin Williams, Al Horford, and Josh Childress, the Hawks will get a chance to fly at the playoffs.
They now have a duo at the back court who could score at will. Both could shoot the three. They’ve also added more speed which with the make of their forwards allows them to run.
Josh Smith didn’t make the All-Star this year. But if this team lights it up during the playoffs, he could finally be - next year.

Convert your PSP Slim into a Karaoke Machine!
This is my first homebrew for the PSP!. A karaoke player that can play MP3+G files. MP3+G is actually just an MP3 music file with an accompanying CDG file for the lyric graphics.
This is a concept beta version with the following features:

The sequeal to Virtual Villagers is out. And new port is in order. Using the same game engine, the project was completely more quickly. Virtual Villagers III is coming soon too. With LDWSoftware’s success, I probably won’t be hard pressed looking for freelance work.
This is the Flash Port of the LDWSoftare’s Plant Tycoon. I’m now at an expert level in ActionScript 2.0. This is an unbelievably addicting game. Really simple gameplay.
This is the Flash Port of the LDWSoftare’s Fish Tycoon. This is the second game project I worked with Arthur Humphrey. They have another hit game. Maybe the Flash Ports are helping in the sales
